UK Bangla Cultural Society is a London-based, secular Bengali community organisation dedicated to promoting and preserving Bengali history, heritage, culture and identity across the United Kingdom. Established in July 2008, the Society has worked to connect younger generations with the rich history and cultural traditions of Bengal. Through seminars, workshops, exhibitions, educational programmes and literature, we engage with young Bengali people and wider communities in schools, colleges, youth clubs, community centres and other educational and cultural spaces across the UK. Our work is rooted in the belief that understanding our history and heritage helps inspire confidence, strengthen communities and build a deeper sense of belonging. We aim to make Bengali history and culture accessible to everyone, while encouraging young people to explore, appreciate and celebrate their heritage. Our Vision We believe that Bengali history and culture are an important part of Britain's diverse social and cultural heritage. Our vision is to ensure that the contributions, experiences and rich cultural legacy of the Bengali community are recognised as an essential part of the history of Britain and, more broadly, of our contemporary world. Through education, cultural engagement and community collaboration, UK Bangla Cultural Society continues to create opportunities for people of all backgrounds to learn about, experience and celebrate the remarkable heritage of Bengal.
